I am always struck in awe with the phrase "the more you get is the more you want." Why? Because it is so real and so happening. I may have made the choice to be satisfied with what I have but I would be lying to tell you that I still hope I have more than what I have right now. So what???It is human nature. It is human nature indeed, and this is why we have line drawn, barrier made, and wall built...so that we can stop and look around us.
This "stop" gave me the chance to look farther than my neighborhood, farther than my city, farther than my country, farther than my continent into a world full of nothing that belongs to me or to my own little world.
I learned to stretch my thoughts in order to comprehend all that is going on in the Philippines. I may never fully understand it but at least I gave it some thoughts and know that there are people out there who would appreciate and love to have what I have now. Another "stop" button just clicked on my head....."be thankful with whatever I have in my possession and whatever comes my way because I could have been one of the mothers in that video.
I dream of helping people like this just like any other good person out there. Sadly, all I can do is keeping them in my thought and prayers. Let's hope that the world will one day becomes a better place for EVERYONE.
